Libby was born with a potent case of Milia, which looks a lot like acne but actually "are created when dead skin becomes trapped in tiny pockets near the surface of your baby's skin." Recently they've all become red and inflamed (the above pictures don't even do it justice). Now, I stand by the statement that my little girl is the most beautiful baby ever. But, ummm, I'm more willing to entertain the notion that I may be less than my usual objective self right now.

Just like a lot of things in parenting, the Milia will pass, and Libby will remain the most beautiful baby in the world. I remember Madison (Madi) Miller had a bad case of Milia, and she'a beautiful 8th grader now. I wish I had thought to find Vincent and Kennedy's tri-fold mirror for Libby. I think Jack Bates had it last, but I'll look for it at the house. I hope all continues to go well. Love, Aunt Kandi
I shudder to think what my complexion would look like with a super zoom lense! She's gorgeous!

Poor Libby. She's actually developed a case of baby acne as well as the milia. While she still does look gorgeous to me, I can't believe how inflamed and red her acne is. My poor little baby....
What are a few zits? Besides her boy friends won't care.
We still think she is beautiful.
And we're not prejudice.

Ah, baby acne. YOu should have seen Ben in those early days... plus, he had plugged tear ducts in both eyes for months... so he was covered in acne, peeling, and oozing puss from both eyes all at once. Whoever said newborns are cute was a liar. :)
My Son Ethan was born a week ago and was born with some Milia. I went online to find pictures to make sure thats what he had and that it wasnt baby acme because I KNOW when my mother sees him for the first time she is going to comment on his 'zits' which I will then say its now zits it milia you idiot ((we dont get along well...lol)) Anyway thanks for posting the picture. She is beautiful...of course now she is like 2.
