What We've Been Doin'

Apologies that some photos aren't going horizontal, for some reason.

What Emma's Been Up To

Sleeping. Lots and lots of sleeping.

In our bed...

Taking Big-Girl (a k a Non-Sponge) Baths

Playing with the Cats (sorta)

Nub's Thoughts: "Please don't be as mean to me as your sister is. PLEASE don't be as mean to me as your sister is."

What Libby's Been Up To

Feeding Baby Doll (and making good use of the Brest Friend)

Torturing Rachel

Martin saw these pictures and said, "Well, this pretty much sums up their whole relationship." Poor Rachel. I've decided Rachel and Emma will be very well suited and will be best buds.

Playing wit' Popcorn.

(Thanks to Katie for the idea of playing with water in a bowl. Then thanks to Aunt Kimmy for the idea of playing with rice instead when I told her that Libby had decided the water was most fun when dumped on her head and clothes. And then thanks to my popcorn for going stale just in time to be useful.)

How We've Been Rollin'

It's moments like these that make me call Emma "Peepers." Have you ever seen such beautiful, bright eyes on a newborn? (We don't see this look often; Emma still sleeps 23.95 hours of the day -- or pretty darn close, it seems.)

Peepers again!

Libby's been practicing feeding our friend Rachel. I shall have her trained in time to feed Emma while Mommy watches her stories and eats bonbons.

On a gorgeous Sunday that seems a thousand years ago on this -5 degree day, we took the girls out for their inaugural walk in the double stroller. (Just pretend like you can see Emma hiding inside her carseat back there.)

Libby has become obsessed with Baby Doll and carries her practically everywhere. This morning she picked up my pump and tried to attach it to her own bosom. Then she attempted to feed Baby Doll with the pump. Shockingly, neither worked.

We had a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa B!

And a visit with Grandma and Grandpa K. Now what will Libby do without all of these grandparents around to applaud her every move?

Emma Is Legend

Martin and I did something yesterday that we never would have dared with Libby. We took Emma to "see" a movie. Aunt Kari came to watch Libby (see Kari and Scott with Emma in the hospital below),

and we headed out with the wee one to see "I Am Legend" (not my first choice but Emma's a huge Will Smith fan and insisted -- oh, and it started at the right time).

Emma really raised a ruckus in the theater ... with her snoring. She sawed a log (quite loudly) almost throughout the movie. What a trooper!

And I'm only now getting around to posting some pictures of our visitors since Emma's been around. Here are cousins Kennedy and Vincent.

And one of Auntie Jo with her little birthday mate (Jo's the one without the hat). Emma's the best b-day present I ever gave Jo. Alas, I didn't have the camera ready to capture all of the visitors, but thanks to all our company!

Up next -- a visit from Grandma and Grandpa B! We can't wait to see them!
