She's So Funny

This morning I poked Libby's belly button and said, "Ding-dong." She yelled, "Ding-dong! Come on in. It's me. I Libby."

Then we hosted playgroup today, and all she could talk about was having her friends over to show them her "new toothpaste" (she picked out toothpaste with "a fish" [Nemo] on it); she also wanted to show off "her beautiful chairs" (her chairs and table).

The beautiful chairs: This is directly from "Curious George" when the man in the yellow hat has a "beautiful new rug." She is watching WAY too much "Curious George" lately. Like is it possible for a 2-year-old to have an unhealthy obsession, or is that just the way all 2-year-old interests are? Other George-isms we've seen recently:
  • I just need to take a nice, cold bath. (She might have this one a wee bit off.)
  • And that's my story. (I assume this one is from George. She pops it out in the most hilarious ways: "I just want to have an orange. And that's my story.")
  • I LOVE ___. (Again, hilarious: "Books? I LOVE books." or "Cheese? I LOVE cheese." Also again, I'm not sure it's from George, but I assume it must be. Although now that I think about it, I guess I do say that a lot. Hmmm. That one might be mine.)
Sorry no pictures. I'm on my side of the laptop, and I can never find the photos on this side. I'll try to add some later.

No pictures needed with those cute comments you posted about Libby. She can have much worse obsessions than Curious George! Kennedy must have said 10 times tonight, "I can't wait to see Kerri and the girls." Love, Aunt Kandi

Good morning Libby and Emma, Love your new comments Libby. Keep them coming. Sure Emma is joining you but Mom and Dad just can't understand you yet. Ha. What's wrong with books and cheese? And what's wrong with Curious George. Her Mom grew up watching him. What's wrong with a talking Monkey and a man in a yellow hat? Only requires a lot of imagination and you have that. Lots of love to everyone. Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy

I did note the new toothpaste, and it is very cool. Brushing teeth? I LOVE brushing my teeth!
