No? How about a Pony? A MacBook? A Wii? Your own apartment?
So Libby decided after her 4am feeding that, on second thought, she was done sleeping for a while. I say on second thought because she'd fall asleep, but as soon as we moved her to the crib she'd immediately wake up again. After Kerri repeated that procedure for for about a half hour I took over. 40 minutes later I finally got her to fall asleep, but only by giving up on the crib and putting her in her swing. And that left me with a whopping 20 minutes before my alarm was going to go off anyway, I just went ahead and went to work. Nothing like strolling into the office at a leisurely 6:45.
The kids just not sleeping and, the sad irony is, the less sleeps she gets, the less sleep she wants. If it was socially acceptable to put your kid in a medically induced comma, I'd so be there. Maybe I'll start spiking her formula with a little sudafed. That can't be toooooo bad for her.

Hey--nothin' wrong with the swing. In moments of "my-God-he-must-take-a-nap-now-because-if-I-don't-get-two-seconds-of-quiet-alone-time-I-may-kill-myself" anguish, our favorite thing was to resort to "THE TREATMENT." This consisted of the tightest swaddle ever followed by placement in the swing on the highest speed available. 99.9% of the time, this eventually produced sleep of some variable quantity.
Do what you gotta do, daddy.
Then, once she DOES start sleeping, just wait until the TIME CHANGES and it starts getting light out at 5:45 a.m. That'll be fun!!! There's always something...
LOL
I miss the days when Libby still fit into the swaddling. Such a sad, sad day when that ended.
It's amazing how tightly a desperate parent can swaddle, isn't it? You pretty quickly become a master at that one! (And then I should say it's pretty amazing how quickly they learn to escape the swaddling, too. Sigh.)
Hey guys!
I so hear your pain! D and I got to the point where Jake was sleeping in his bouncy seat--vibrating himself to sleep. Don't feel guilty about the swing--the most important thing is that you ALL get some sleep!
Good luck!
Jill
